The switch is suitable for small medium or enterprise companies who require a high speed network or backbone. It's the ideal upgrade from a Fast Ethernet solution as it is backwards compatible with all existing 10/100 network equipment and features flow control and auto-negotiation to sense the correct speed and full/half duplex mode. With Auto MDI/MDI-X functionality on all ports there is no need for cross over cables.
